About The Cabin Fever
The Cabin Fever is an independent buying-guide site for electric space heaters. We help you compare models and pick one for your room with less guesswork.
The name is a wink at that stir-crazy feeling of a long, cold winter indoors. We are not a travel, rental or building site.
What we cover
Our guides cover tower and fan heaters, infrared heaters, wall and panel heaters and oil-filled radiators. We also explain the parts of a heater that matter, like watts, amps, timers, remotes and the safety features makers list.
Many guides put two models or two heater types side by side, so you can see the trade-offs before you buy.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and maker information for every heater we cover. We also look at what buyers often say after living with one.

What we don't do
We don't make or sell heaters, and no brand pays us to rank its products.
We are not electricians or fire safety experts. For placement, cords, outlets and when to switch a heater off, follow the maker's manual and ask a licensed electrician if you are unsure about your wiring.
We don't claim to have tested every heater ourselves. When we pick something, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.
